Fun Fun

Today my Mother and I made a midday run to Sam's Club to by boxes and bubble wrap. That is not the best time to go but the weekend was packed with family things and I was an icing monster for a good part of the day Sunday.

So, for my love of treasures I see these 3 foot letters in a great font that were removed from an old building that is no longer in business. There wasn't a great assortment of letters but I managed to find "FUN" and an "S" for smitten :-)

Later today I spray painted them light pink and plan to hang them in my bedroom or kitchen somewhere. On the spot finding words that come from "Furniture Warehouse" was quite challenging for me at 10 am. But I am very excited ever since the issue of country living that had the big letters hanging in a kitchen Interview.

Love the treasures :-)

Worst Blogger Ever.... but PEOPLE MAGAZINE!

Hey Lady Courtney... you are a pretty lame blogger! I use to look forward to my random blogs and now I just haven't the time! So here is the good news:

1. We have an additional cupcake lady. Her name is Autumn and she is one fun southern bell that works very hard. This should help us be faster with all and she knows how to make coffee for me now. I am officially spoiled right there. One french press with two cups of French Roast to start the cupcake day. Love it.

2. I have Adobe Photoshop. Wow.... its back to the big girl game. No more paint.

3. We have hit over 100 stores a bit ago... more like 150 now maybe but that is a milestone right there!

4. Sister is going to perfect the bath truffles garnished with Mango butter and soap glitter.... wish I had a picture for you. They are so very pretty. Mango butter by the way is the best thing in the world for dryness. It is full of hydrating power and I love it for my feet.

5. THE BIGGEST PART EVER!!! Thanks to JC Beauty Group and getting our cupcakes in a top end store we were in People Magazine last week. My sister went to the store and checked the issue. She sent me a text showing us. My Mom, Autumn, and I were SCREAMING and jumping and acting like we were in Junior High all over again! It was fabulous! I believe there was icing scattered all over because I was trying to ice before hand... but hey.... sometimes all is too exciting to care about the clean up! People. People.

Cheers to a good month... despite not having time to sleep or eat - it was worth it!

Back to working late!

So I am taking a break from icing :-)

I was lightly teased about my lack of blogging. When really I should be scolded! Thanksgiving! Ahhh!

At any point in a given day I say I should blog about that! So here is one point today that swept my mind and made me laugh!

Rubbing a cupcake into the carpet!
Yes it is possible! The best part is it removed the stain!

My mother told me the other day (she is the queen of cleaning and full of knowledge about all cleaning) she took a base of a cupcake bomb, dropped it in warm water and it lifted a stain! I was very doubtful and thought well I could just get carpet spot cleaner. Oh no... none needed. I gave this a try with one of the many left over mess ups stocked in workroom and it worked!

All I can think about is my life surrounded by all sorts of cupcakes with different functions! Silly I know but I am still on the lookout for some cupcake home accents :-)

We had extra mini cupcakes hanging in our Christmas tree this year!
They are also floating in my over sized purse because you never know when you will need a fake cupcake right?

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have been making cupcakes like mad for the holidays and currently I smell of lime cooler :-) YUM!

I have been more out of the loop with my blog than ever. I wanted to take a second to write some updates.

First off, I have only received 5 emails today! YAY! That is fabulous because the normal mass that come in make me dread looking at my computer without coffee.

2 - I attached some pictures of the new gift sets with the Christmas Mini Cupcakes. All 6 scents wrapped in a long clear box. I love them at the moment.

3 - recipe has been updated & IMPROVED. Now all cupcakes give off bubbles. Frosting top has soap/bath & body ingredients and dissolves faster. Still contains Shea and/or sweet almond oil as well. The best part - they still look like the real thing.

4 - Our website has been updated and dolled up by the lovely Amy at Sassy Pink Boutique. She is a hardcore business gal that did a wonderful job and got me updated! Thanks AMY!

5 - Thanks to Cady and Lindsey, our sales Reps for keeping us so busy! They have taught me that I can push myself quite a bit more than I thought! With just a bit of sacrificing makeup and being confrontational with the cute ups guy when he is too early.
_
LASTLY - I am so THANKFUL for a family and a few great friends that have plugged in, jumped on board, and kicked some serious cupcake butt! I could not have done it without all of you.

Pretty Fun Icing

Sister iced some Birthday Cake Minis the last week for Simply Tempted and we just love the color combo. I think we pick new favorites every week. The round tip use to be my enemy and now it it is pretty fun.

The funny thing about all the cupcake bath bombs is I often wonder how I would do with edible icing now :-)

IPOD RIP

So - my trusty Ipod went down today. Bye bye....GONE. It helped me work better!

I think it has done all it can for me. It will surely be missed. It kept me sane and I don't know when I am going to have time to get another one or even do I understand the options!

So no more vacuuming and singing to myself some marvelous Peggy Lee.
Regina as I ice cupcakes.
Cash when cooking or microwaving.
Or a good friends CD Canon Canyon while I take my 2 mile walk/run combo.
Boy what a loss.

Can I vent?

I have had two people in the last few weeks take my pictures and say the cupcakes are their own! Really?? If they can make them like mine take your own pictures please!

The funny part is two fellow etsy gals reported it to me! Gotta love the etsy gals for looking out for each other - some of their photos were used as well.

This is so very frustrating... the ebay member not only took one picture but 5 and I am not letting this go...we work too hard for our cupcake majesty!
